First wireless thermometer leaves production from new headquarters of high-tech company pro-micron

Since the ground-breaking ceremony on November 3, 2019 for the new pro-micron headquarters, the anticipation of the whole pro-micron team has grown. Shortly before Christmas 2020, the new building was gradually moved into. Operations have been running successfully again since January 7th. The first wireless spit for Miele’s ovens left production in CW 02 of the new year and the next leaves shortly after.

The wireless thermometer production team of pro-micron is excited about the first delivery from the new building.

The old location in Innovapark 20 in Kaufbeuren was given up due to lack of space and so pro-micron finds a new home in Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße 6 in its own four walls. The modern production and office rooms were planned according to the company’s own needs and include several creative areas where ideas can be further developed and brought to market maturity by the development engineers and product managers. The team is currently working on wireless temperature monitoring of the electric motor’s rotor magnet, which will help make the electric motor even more powerful and resistant to overheating.

The 3100 square meters triple the previous effective area for the company. Production, development and office space, as well as social rooms, are spread over three floors. An additional floor is planned as an option. In addition, the right of first refusal for the area behind the production hall has been secured.

Just on time for the high-tech company’s move-in, during which large parts of the pro-micron staff lent a helping hand, Hubertus von Zastrow and Dr. Rainer Wunderlich, CEO of pro-micron, announced the good news about the approval of the Technology Transfer Center (TTZ) as a competence center for digital machining. The TTZ is a cooperation with the Kempten University and other important industrial partners such as Grob Werke Mindelheim, DMGMORI from Pfronten, Alois Berger from Memmingen and the Ceratizit Group from Kempten.
