With spike®Inspindle, you can see exactly what forces your spindle is exposed to, thus protecting the machine, tools, and components.

Components
The System
The system enables both tool clamping monitoring and force monitoring.
Even the smallest chips or contamination on flat and conical surfaces are reliably detected during the tool clamping process – up to ≥ 10 µm on the flat surface and ≥ 30 µm on the conical surface.
spike®Inspindle precisely measures process forces from 4 to 1400 Nm and detects overload, tool breakage, wear marks, or chatter marks before downtime, rejects, or costly repairs occur.
If necessary, automatic machine reactions can be triggered.
A rotor-stator system on the spindle nose measures bending moment, axial force, and other process signals. Energy and data are transmitted wirelessly from the rotor to the stator and from there via cable to the read Modular receiver unit.
The data can then be transmitted to the machine via BUS or analog signal and visualized live in fusion EDGE and networked with the database.
spike®Inspindle is available for spindle sizes HSK_A63, HSK_A80, and HSK_A100.
