pro-micron becomes Siemens SINUMERIK Product Partner
Synergies and opportunities
The focus is on connecting the highly sensitive spike® sensor technology with the Siemens control ecosystem. Using, for example, OPC UA for Siemens SINUMERIK 840D and SINUMERIK ONE, process data from spike® and control data can be correlated and used together for analysis, data tracking, monitoring, and upcoming automation functions.
The combination of spike®, fusion, and SINUMERIK enables process monitoring with machine response based on spike® data, as well as as a software-only solution. This results in benefits such as optimized use of tool life, higher quality and productivity, and reduced scrap and machine downtime. Detecting anomalies through process analysis is also possible.
