Spike® 2 Diagnosis
Spike® 2 Diagnosis
With spike® Diagnosis, processes are analyzed directly via the relevant forces for the first time – precisely, reproducibly, and independently of subjective assessments.
What added value does the diagnostic set offer?
- Reduction of setup times through targeted parameter setting.
- Less scrap due to early detection of inefficient processes.
- Longer tool life due to optimized cutting conditions.
- Higher process reliability with consistent component quality.
- Faster commissioning of new tools thanks to data-based comparability.
What components are included in the spike® 2 - Diagnosis Kit?

The System
The system consists of the mobile sensory tool holder spike® and a compact receiving unit that can be used flexibly and independently on all machines.
The Spike² tool holder measures crucial process forces such as bending moments, torsion, and axial forces in real time and transmits the data wirelessly to the receiving unit. From there, they are sent via USB cable directly to the fusion software, which enables immediate visualization and analysis.
This allows tool breakage, wear, process instabilities, or inefficient cutting parameters to be identified immediately. Using the comparison and diagnostic functions in fusion, measurement series can be compared and trends evaluated – comprehensive process diagnostics without additional machine integration.
