The sensory spindle nose.

spike® Inspindle

permanent measurement and monitoring

Integrated into your machine

spike® Inspindle is a measuring system that is fully integrated into the machine spindle.
Use spike®Inspindle to measure and monitor the clamping of your tool and the force during all processes, providing lasting protection for components and machines.

The most sensitive sensor integrated into the machine

spike® Inspindle measures the metrics that need to be monitored.

  • Bending moment
  • Axial force
  • Pull-in force
  • Chip-in-spindle monitoring

For machine, component and tool monitoring at all times.

The core is a rotor-stator system on the spindle nose.

Available for HSK-A 63 and 100.
The rotor detects mechanical loads such as bending moment, axial force, and spindle load directly on the tool and transmits them to the stator, which in turn ensures the energy supply.
The energy supply is inductive, and data transmission is via radio.

Acquisition of process forces during operation.

The detection of a chip in the spindle tool holder of up to 10 µm is possible with spike® Inspindle.
Tool breakage, wear and vibrations can also be detected.

Advantages of the machine-integrated sensor over the mobile solution:

  • Permanent measurement, permanent data and power supply
  • Spindle overload monitoring with machine reaction
  • Draw-in force monitoring with chip detection and possible machine reaction
  • Bearing load tracking
The advantages of

spike® Inspindle

  • Protection: Avoidance of machine damage through early detection of overload situations.
  • Cost reduction: Reduction of tool costs by avoiding breakage and unnecessary wear.
  • Quality: Ensuring component quality through stable processes without chatter.
  • Efficiency: Minimizing downtimes through automatic machine reactions.
  • Profitability: Fast amortization even with small batch sizes due to reduced scrap costs.
