At the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas, Miele presented the "Wireless Precision Probe" product.

Exclusively for Miele, pro-micron is developing and mass-producing a sensor based on SAW technology that acts as an accurate wireless food thermometer and communicates with the oven, which automatically regulates the temperature based on precise data information. So no matter what food is cooked to the point.

To determine the core temperature of a food item, the temperature sensor must be located at the coldest part of the food item. By using multiple sensors, the customer no longer needs to hit the exact core of the food, but only needs to poke the skewer into the food.

Control is handled by the intelligent sensor system in conjunction with the correspondingly enhanced Miele cooking programs. pro-micron has launched the world's first wireless multi-point temperature sensor.

The system operates at 2.45GHz, meets all relevant approval criteria and can therefore be used worldwide without restrictions.

Customized development

Since 2016, pro-micron has specialized in the production and development of passive SAW radio systems for various applications. Through individual adaptation of sensor design, packaging and antenna design, an optimized solution for the specific application is realized. Since the end of 2018, pro-micron has been producing SAW-based temperature sensors with 4 sensors in series - the tip_probe feed thermometer has been successfully sold on the US market for the smart home sector since the beginning of 2019.
